James Avery joined TTSG as Client Solutions Manager in 2024, quickly advancing to his current role as Senior Advisor, Advanced Planning where he drives business growth through strategic client engagement and tailored planning solutions. He leads the identification and implementation of advanced insurance and estate planning strategies, ensuring exceptional service and long-term client satisfaction. In addition to serving as a trusted advisor to clients and their professional networks, James leads a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and delivering innovative solutions to address complex client needs.

Prior to joining TTSG, James built a distinguished career at EY LLP as a Senior Manager in Tax Services, specializing in Canadian and U.S. tax planning for privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. He managed a national client portfolio, provided cross-border tax and estate planning, and led a team of professionals to deliver complex solutions with precision and compliance. His experience includes strategic planning, business development, and mentoring, demonstrating his ability to foster strong relationships and drive results in dynamic environments.

James holds CPA designations in both Canada and Illinois and completed the CPA In-Depth Tax program. Complementing his academic achievements, James brings a unique perspective shaped by his tenure as a professional athlete and Olympian, instilling resilience, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of his work.
