The Targeted Strategies Group announces a $15,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross British Columbia Floods & Extreme Weather Appeal. The Red Cross is providing emergency services including shelter, basic needs, and emotional support to people who had to flee their homes.

“It’s been a challenging year in British Columbia. Financial support from The Targeted Strategies Group helps the Canadian Red Cross respond to the impacts of the recent floods and extreme weather and provide assistance to those who need it most. Money raised will enable the Red Cross to carry out relief, recovery, resiliency, and risk reduction activities in British Columbia. We are grateful for this support” says Pat Quealey, Vice-President, British Columbia and Yukon, Canadian Red Cross.

Severe rainfall in November 2021 washed away highways that connected to the rest of Canada and over 15,000 people were forced to evacuate British Columbia’s Southern, Coastal, and Interior regions.

“With an office in Vancouver, we are directly connected to those impacted by the floods”, says Susan Kichuk, CEO of The Targeted Strategies Group. “It is heartbreaking to watch the devastation caused by the flooding and our donation will go to supporting the relief and recovery efforts spearheaded by the Canadian Red Cross.”

The Government of Canada and Province of British Columbia will match all donations made by individuals and corporations between November 17, 2021, and December 26, 2021, to the British Columbia Floods & Extreme Weather Appeal. Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will have triple the impact during this time.
